Kaio's First Pet

Heading to the pet store for a tree frog, and Kaio dressed himself in a soccer shirt, dessert ACU pants, shin guards, and a pair of orange havianas that are too small. Does this crazy creature really have the capacity to take on a pet?
Kaio's been asking for a puppy, guinea pigs, a gecko, and a tree frog.  He's been super affectionate with dogs we meet around town.  So, I decided we could start with the frog and see how that goes.  Mari approved, but bet that the frog would only last a week...

Bienvenidos fire belly toads Pokey & Shoke (named by Kaio, I'm not sure what the names mean yet), and 100 crickets.
Kaio: "run cricket run!"... "go frog get the cricket!"... "oh, he ate him!"
And the crickets keep suiciding themselves in the water before the frogs can eat them.

In unfortunate news, my DSLR is broken.  so I've been taking pics with my cell phone. And thus shooting more videos.  Here are my crazy cute kids at ages 3 and 5.  Nala imitating me yelling at her for pouring liquid soap in the pot of a potted plant, 'to clean the dirt off it.'

And here is Kaio rocking out:

And lastly, here's our caped crusader, outfitted by his papa. Who knew Mari was so proficient in domestic arts?

The Heart Meridian Opens to the Tongue

I used to lay in the dark, eye's closed with my head resting on Mari's chest, hearing his voice in the darkness with no image telling me that he was different or separate, just another voice on the same black plane of existence as mine.  With no eyes telling me  that our bodies were separate things, I felt merged like part of the same particles.  Like we were part of one great black landscape, sounds and time woven in colored waves and fractals.  The feeling of my head against his chest could have been anything; a wall, a bed... Bodies don't exist.   In the stillness it's not matter, it's not a form, it's sound wave pulsing frequency next to mine.

In Traditional Chinese medicine physiology, there are meridian paths traveling through the body, invisible to our eyes.  These paths connect our skin, muscles, and internal organs.  They carry energy between the parts of the body and support production of blood and body fluids among other things.

The meridian of the Heart ends at the very tip of the tongue.  There is, therefore, a direct connection from tongue to heart.  It makes me wonder if that's why we like kissing so much.
